WHEN ARE YOUR SERVICES? Services are held Sunday mornings at 10am.
WHAT’S THE ENVIRONMENT? The atmosphere at BVC is casual and unpretentious. Our hope is that you will feel comfortable enough to focus on God rather than your surroundings.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? While it’s possible to see someone wearing a suit and tie, most people dress in a relaxed, casual style. We are much more concerned about what’s going on inside of a person than what they are wearing.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL SERVICE? Our worship services are an opportunity to engage with God in the community of others. In these times of gathered worship, we hope to draw near to God and have God draw near to us through music, Bible based teaching, Scripture reading & prayer. Our musical style is contemporary. There are several worship teams that serve BVC using instruments such as guitars, drums, keys and brass. We use a variety of music styles that are easy to sing and express our praise for God and trust in him. You are welcome to sing along or silently reflect on the songs.
The Bible is central to our worship services, so we plan our entire worship service around the passage in the Bible that we are studying that day. Preaching is expository, and we typically work our way through books of the Bible. Both biblical explanation and application are important to those who teach at BVC.
DO MY KIDS SIT WITH ME? They are welcome to sit with you if you’d like. There are classes for nursery through 5th grade offered.
Here's all you need to know before you show up for your first Sunday morning gathering: Come as you are. Although our time will be taken up by singing, teaching and praying, you don't need any manual to figure out how to fit in. Jesus simply says: "Come to me" and we say the same. Just come as you are!
