We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.
At our church, we hope to grow in godliness as we encourage one another in the context of healthy, godly relationships. Here we study the Bible together, pray together, serve one another and serve those outside our groups.
Our Discipleship Groups encompass a number of formats. Some groups meet for only a certain number of weeks, some for longer. Some will be more like a Bible Study, or a topic study, or what you may think of when you hear the phrase "small groups." We are continuing to seek to develop our Discipleship Groups and a global pandemic has added its own layers of complexity.
