As a church who loves Scripture, we want to find tools to help us engage with Scripture well. For 2022, we want to be intentional as a church about spending time in the Word. We have put together two reading plans for the year: the "Narrative" one goes through the big story of Scripture and is about a chapter a day. The "Whole Bible" one covers all of Scripture, with readings each day from the Old Testament, the New Testament, and either Psalms or Proverbs. We encourage you to use either one of these if you do not already have a routine for Bible reading, or if you want something different this year, or if you want to join others at BVC by doing the same plan. Small groups are welcome to use these plans together as well, if they find it beneficial.
Lastly, on the Whole Bible reading plan, the various books of the Bible are identified with abbreviated titles. Because these are extra short abbreviations, there's a "key" to help alleviate confusion. (Does "Jo" stand for Job? Joel? John? Jonah?)
