Jesus, help us not to fall into the traps set for us by our enemy. We fear the unknown and we fear death. We lament the brokenness of the world, that people still get sick, and people still die premature deaths. Lord, we long for your new creation, when you will dwell with us in perfect unity, where you will wipe every tear from our eyes, where there will be no more sickness or death. Thank you that in these things you are Lord. You hold our pasts in which we see your faithfulness. You hold our present in which we see your provision. And you hold our future in which we have a rooted and sure hope.
