About us

WELCOME  Bella Vista Church is a diverse assembly of families, couples and singles with the common purpose of growing in love for God and others. Wherever you are in your journey of life, there's a place for you at BVC. We look forward to having you join us. Bella Vista Church is an independent, non-denominational church. Though not tied to any particular denomination, the church is solidly in the Evangelical, Protestant tradition.

WHERE TO FIND US We are located at 5100 Belding Road in Rockford, Michigan, about 1/4 mile east of Northland Dr/Wolverine Blvd. There are two entrances to our auditorium and friendly volunteers are waiting to greet and help you at our Welcome Center in the east lobby. Do you need to find a class, or are you looking for a cup of coffee? Just ask, and we'll be happy to assist you and help you feel right at home.

SUNDAY SERVICES Our Sunday services begin at 9:00am and 10:45am. Each service lasts seventy-five minutes.

What To Expect

What's the overall environment? The atmosphere at BVC is casual and unpretentious. Our hope is that you will feel comfortable enough to focus on God rather than your surroundings.

What should I wear?

While it's possible to see someone wearing a suit and tie, most people dress in a relaxed, casual style. We are much more concerned about what’s going on inside of a person than what they are wearing. So, just come as you are.

What's the service like?

Our worship services are an opportunity to engage with God in the community of others. In these times of gathered worship, we hope to draw near to God and have God draw near to us through music, preaching, Scripture reading, prayer, testimonies, the arts, reflection, and serving others. Our musical style is contemporary. There are several worship teams that serve BVC using instruments such as guitars, drums, keys and brass. We use a variety of music styles that are easy to sing and express our praise for God and trust in him. You are welcome to sing along or silently reflect on the songs.

The Bible is central to our worship services, so we plan our entire worship service around the passage in the Bible that we are studying that day. Preaching is expository, and we typically work our way through books of the Bible. Both biblical explanation and application are important to those who teach at BVC.

Do my kids sit with me?

They are welcome to sit with you if you'd like. At 10:45 there are classes for nursery through 5th grade. A worship service for middle school students meets in our Student Center.

Will I be asked to give money?

If you are a visitor, we actually want you to keep your wallet in your pocket, allowing us to serve you. If you choose to make BVC your church home, we hope that you will joyfully worship and obey God by financially supporting the church.
